After much thought we decided to order this sofa instead of going to a brick and mortar store to try one out. The reviews are all positive (though not many) and the pics are nice. Delivery was flawless and it even arrived 2 weeks sooner than scheduled. The sofa arrived inside a box; once you take it out of the box, it is tightly wrapped in an almost vacuum sealed kind of way. It takes a few minutes to unwrap it all, but it is not a problem. All pillows and 5 legs are kept within the sofa seating section. It takes about 5 minutes to screw the legs in, not a problem at all. However, first issue I noticed was a hole underneath the couch, in the black fabric where the legs attach. No big deal, cannot be seen. Once it was all good to go we started noticing some things we are not happy with. First, the right arm was loose; while everything else was solid, you could actually shake the right arm. Being as it is, it will break off sooner than later. Next, we can see the hardware through the fabric in the back of the sofa. It is very noticeable and it should not be visible. Finally, the bottom rim of the sofa contains several pieces poorly pierced together. It should be a single piece all around, and the way this one is, well, it looks crappy. Because the sofa is indeed nice and comfortable, we decided to send it back for a replacement (terrific Amazon service, by the way). Delivery is expected on 4/12. Hopefully, the new one will not have any of those issues since Amazon informed us that they would contact the manufacturer to make sure this is the case. Once we receive the new sofa, we will update this review.Update 1:Well, the replacement arrived today. The delivery the first time, with XOP, was excellent. Today's delivery was a nightmare. ABF delivered; first, they failed to deliver on the scheduled day. Also, they kept telling Amazon they could not get in touch with us, which is not true. I was at work today when my wife called and told me that an old guy, in his 60s, was there with the couch but could not move it by himself. I had to leave work, drive home and first, get the defective sofa out of the house. The ABF guy helped, but had to stop to breath a few times. Also, I had to put the sofa inside his truck! And then I had to bring the new sofa in, again with his help. He was badly out of breath. This is by no means his fault, but ABF's. They should at least send 2 guys to move heavy furniture. Oh, well, live and learn. Never again though. The sofa is in better shape than the previous one, with no loose parts. But still the hardware is very noticeable through the fabric. No holes or messed up rim this time. The pics are from the one we just returned. I will update again if something else comes up.Update 2:So far, so good. Looks nice, it is comfortable, very easy to clean with just water. We do not regret this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The chair is fabulous, the delivery was terrible! *by B***L on December 20, 2018* The Chair:I bought the armchair in sand. It is a pretty color (I also bought the sofa and ottoman) - I was afraid it would be too light, but it is not. Well made, comfortable, and oh-so-cozy! Perfect for curling up with a throw and a book and a cup of tea. I think I like the chair better than the sofa! And the sofa is quite nice.The Delivery:I contacted the delivery company, XPO, to make delivery arrangements. Their representative assured me two people would deliver the chair, and it was coded as a "set up and delivery" meaning they would (1) bring the chair to my room of choice, (2) set it up, and (3) remove the debris. I went over this with the customer service representative several times, as the sofa had already been delivered and that was an awful experience.So, the morning of the delivery arrives, and two healthy, able bodied men bring this big chair wrapped in heavy duty protective plastic to my door, and ask me to sign for it. Period. Not even bringing into the house. So I spent 15 minutes going over my notes with them from my conversation with XPO customer service, and they argued with me, said there was no one at XPO by that name (of the customer service rep I gave them), said XPO was a big company and customer service had nothing to do with delivery, said I must have spoken to someone at Amazon and not XPO - in short, they made up stories, lied, and were not helpful.They finally brought the chair over the threshold and into the front room, and that was it. I signed for the chair, then called XPO customer service and got the same runaround. Now, mind you, in the time those two men spent arguing with me, they could have had the chair inside, unwrapped, debris carted away, and would have received a nice tip.Later, when I went outside, I found out those two lazy bums had left the huge cardboard box the chair shipped in in front of the dumpster! They were too lazy to even break down the box, which I had to do. And, by the way, my customer address and identifying information was left on the box they left in the middle of the road.I love the chair, but I will not buy furniture again from Amazon until they get their delivery act together. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get fabric swatches. Have strong guys on hand... *by T***E on February 2, 2019* I should have ordered a fabric sample. The color is more of a putty, tends to the Grey rather than cream. The fabric is like men's slacks, a twill. And there are two small black spots right out of the plastic before even being touched. BUT...The construction is amazing! Heaviest sofa I have ever seen and beautiful in its attention to detail. It is very deep, and the cushions are very firm. The height is two to three inches higher than our old sofa. So it has a presence in the room. We bought one to try it out. Bought a second one last night once this arrived.
