They are excellent thinning scissors, very sharp and the action is smooth and soft. They have a nice heft and appear very well made. I will make one comment about the size-- I have somewhat thin fingers and they fit my hands perfectly. Not only are they sharp, they are well balanced. Can be used for any technique of cutting. My coworker has a $400 pair of shears and in my opinion these are just as good.
