Some socks cause contact dermatitis that drives me nuts. I've long searched for socks that don't trigger itching. These fit the bill. They're super comfortable and I don't even notice they're there. I also like that they aren't very tall - extending a few inches below mid-calf. Of course they fit a bit loosely because there's not a ton of elastic/spandex type material. But they're not so loose (on my size 9 feet) that they fall down. So I think they're snug enough. Because they're almost 100% cotton you definitely don't want to wash them in hot water.
