Just used a box cutter to cut the soft part of the venting tube and wire cutters to cut the 1 wire in the tube. Zip tied it and ready to use. Our basement is cold in the winter, but the dryer is venting into the basement right now, and the warm air definitely took the edge off that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars wasnt impressed *by V***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2022* the overall quality isnt there. Seems cheaply made. we'll see how it does this winter. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap material - don't expect it to last too long... *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2022* Came warped such that the door inside wouldn't close tightly. I closed the door and left it alone for a few days in front of a heat register to try and get it to better form itself and it did to a degree, but not 100%. The seams are very weak so I ran some duct tape over them to try and keep the air flow inside the trap as much as possible. The hose clamps it comes with are crap so I purchased some metal clamps separately. And lastly, the screen on the open end only catches big particles of lint. There is still a TON of dust produced when this vents inside. Going to put nylons over the opening to try and limit the dust. I expected some, but not as much as what comes out.
