I am about 5'5" and somewhere near 170 right now and already have a bigger bust, small waistline, and wide hips. I ordered a large and it fit really well, it was snug and held everything in and smoothed it all out. I wore this for an entire day walking and sitting to get a feel of it and how it wears after hours of use.Some things I noticed throughout the day: If you're wearing tight, light colored clothing you could see the outline of it in certain lighting. The thong will start to hurt (really badly) after a few hours because of how high you have to pull it up to really cover everything, otherwise the upper part of your stomach/back could just be spilling over. It does not 100% pull everything in if that's what you're hoping for, and buying a smaller size will not help - it will just make it tighter on you and cause any extra "fluff" you have to spill out of every opening and it would be super uncomfortable. I do like this item though because it smooths and pulls everything in at least a little.
