What length handle you need depends on how much you weigh, because you can't pull down on the long end of the lever arm with more than your weight. At 140 lbs., I'm okay using the 60" handle to raise one side of a 6-700# machine. With a longer handle, you will find that you need a second person to place blocks or pipe under the thing you are moving, because you are too far away at the end of the lever to do it yourself.Serious riggers use these two at a time, one on each end. J-bar) because the picture in the listing shows one with a nice slender handle like the ones I used to use long ago. When it arrived, it has a much thicker handle and is difficult to manipulate. If I had known that the handle was this thick, I would have bought the Vestil PLB-5 and saved over $50 in price.
