It's fairly small in its form factor and the faux leather is a surprisingly pliable (not tremendously stiff like other synthetic blends can be). The color is true from the item pictures and the inside has plenty of pockets. I don't have an iPad for size comparison but I pitted it against a Ps4 game and my current smaller Tommy Hilfiger purse. I was very happy with the sizing!Echoing other reviews, I would certainly use this as a medium sized purse. It doesn't have the room for tons of things like an overnight or messenger bag would.
