If my math is correct, that comes out to approximately 96 pieces per bag. I just counted a full bag and it contained 94 pieces so it must vary slightly by bag. **Q: Are these like or dark chocolate?** A: Riesen are dark chocolate caramels covered in dark chocolate. The chocolate is sweeter than the darkest chocolate, but not as sweet as milk chocolate. They are delicious and last a long time if you let them melt in your mouth. **Q: Is the candy individually wrapped?** A: they are wrapped but not designed for like commercial selling - wrapped like butterscotch candies wrapped :) **Q: Is this made in Germany? What is the expiry or best before date on the item?** A: Mine have a 6/2013 date on them and I got them several months ago. With something like this I can't see how how they could go bad in July, August, September ... The package states they were made in Germany and distributed from some company in Chicago ...
