I definitely needed to be able to calibrate the mineral level in the different soils I was searching in. Big differences. Liked being able to know the depth I had to dig before digging. It’s definitely not the top of the line with technology but does a good job. My main goal was to replace an old radio shack detector I used to locate underground wires, stakes, and find lost screws and bolts. It does that just fine so I’d think it would work well on coins and relics. Lite, easy to assemble, and change batteries.
