AKA #7 Empire. I have used 5/32 to 9/16 with no problems. This is a great staple gun. I have been using it full time in my upholstery shop for about 6 months with out problem. **Q: DOes this have a saftey mechanism?** A: Sort of, it has a steel toggle that I wouldn't trust that much.
