The dimensions were stated clearly and I own a bag with the same dimensions which was exactly what I was looking for, but maybe the dimensions did not include the wheels. And the sides of the bag are a bit out rather than tucked in, which also makes it larger than the actual dimensions. I don't think I will use it as I wanted it particularly for travel and I think it is considered as a carry on suitcase and not an extra accessory item. The design of the outside is magnificent, stylish and I can't think of enough adjectives to describe adequately how fabulous it is.However, I can only give those compliments for the outside of the bag because I don't carry a laptop. The inside of the bag is pure perfection IF you buy it to carry a laptop. Otherwise, the compartments inside just take up valuable room that I need. I've got a bit of a handicap now and can't carry my purse any more so I bought this bag so I could put the purse, a few papers and my lunch inside. Because there is limited space in the bag, I had to go buy a tiny purse and tiny lunch bag to fit it inside. That's disappointing. Also, the bag arrived without the little change purse that comes with it.Therefore, overall, I'd say if you're objective is to have a bag to carry your laptop and a small (tiny) purse, this is the one definitely. And, again, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! But if you need it as a daily work bag, it's a little too small.
