Very good upgraded version of the Raiscube A8R 3D Printer
Purchased this item on 30 Jul 2018. The printer arrived well packed in high grade poly-foam. The general quality is very good for a low budget machine. The SD card contained Cura software, Build documents & links for online info if required. This new version has replaced the laser-cut acrylic frame with an aluminium chassis which is much stronger and removed the spool holder frame and replaced it with a neat rotating lay-flat system. The operating screen was clear and easy to follow. The reset button could do with a stick on graphic panel to give a more professional finish. That said all the parts found in this kit were the quality found in more expensive 3D printer kits. Print nozzle of 0.4mm coped well with the samples provided which had good overall finishes. This printer kit would suit most people if you are up for a challenge. Build time was just under 2.5 hours this included extra time in selecting the best route for the wiring. First test Power on, set z height for nozzle and hot bed adjustment, load filament, select file and start printing. Summary: Would suit competent DIY’er or a novice with help from the 3d community. Great value for money printer which can be upgrade to your personal choice.
