She loves to wear them and they do stay on for the most part. The only time they come loose is when she's kicking in the water, but they only come off in the back, they still stay on her feet. I don;t know if I got too big of a size but the back of the shoe sticks out behind her heel a little ways. Functions fine but looks odd. We got the watermelon ones and she loves her "melon shoes" and is happy to wear them to pool. They're also good against the hot pavement. I don't have to worry she's burning her feet. They are super light weight and dry out quickly. I didn't have any trouble getting them on her. They do have some loose threads already at the edges as some people mentioned but for how cheap they are I don't care. It did slip off a couple of times but never in the water. The insole does come out but that makes it easier to rinse all the sand out of it.
