There is a power light indicator to show that the unit is powered (always powered if no isolator switch is fitted) no waterflow is actioned until the unit is powered by the rotary controls to set temperature and heat 1 or 2 I would recommend that you have an isolation switch to turn on / off power i have done this with a pull cord located on the bathroom ceiling hope this helps **Q: Has it got a bottom and left hand feed?** A: Thank you for your question.
