I placed the wood slightly sideways and then tried sliding it into place so it sat straight. Ended up using my foot as a hammer & just stepped on the wood near the edge of the frame to get it down onto the track of the metal frame, then the rest of the wood followed.One we knew the wood fit, it was fairly easy to situate. One plank was very bowed and did not sit straight, but curved upwards at each end. I was worried that would affect the performance of the bunky board, but to date it is not an issue. Since the wood planks were a tight fit at first, we are hoping there will be zero issues where the bunky board "comes off the metal frame" [which some reviewers said happened to them]. Overall the packaging and design made the installation pretty easy with 2 people. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did not fit it it looked good *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2020* It did not fit my queen size bed frame, I guessed it would have been a standard fit, but it’s not. To save on time and trouble you will need to measure.I was easily able to send back and refunded promptly. I bought these for my son's bed to replace his old slats. They are a touch too big for his bed (full sized). When I say a touch I mean it. Way less then an inch. They just need a bit of sanding. I'm not sure if it was an issue on this company's end or IKEA's end.
