I have the sweatiest hands and I did not slip during any of my yoga classes - flow, hot yoga, etc. HOWEVER, this mat is NOT machine washable like the company says. I followed the washing instructions EXACTLY (delicates cycle and air dry) but now my expensive mat is ruined forever. The suede material is separating from the rubber base and the mat will not lay flat anymore. This mat is NOT MACHINE WASHABLE like they said. I use this mat for hot yoga - it is great for absorbency and nonslipping when you are really sweaty. I have machine washed it once on delicate, and it came out just fine, good as new.
