So other than electrical savings which are too small to notice, the big differences between Lucci and AC-powered fans are the noise levels, air movement, and design/style. Lucci wins! Plus another 6 speeds in reverse. DC motor is very efficient. Relatively easy to install once you realize the remote speed control unit is just tucked inside the fan shroud, not actually mounted to any component. Clear installation and wiring diagrams. Wires are all color coded and clearly labeled.
