Unfortunately scarfs(or scarves) are not the best for those who have to work or spend a lot of time outside or near areas exposed to the outside in cold windy Winter conditions while being "active"(moving around) - they can fall off into mud or slushy snow.I bought several winter face masks/gaiters since about 2012 to compensate for the limitations of my scarfs.2 of those masks were made of Polyester and are less than ideal for "breathe-ability" - even after years they still have a noticeable "industrial" smell when I try to breathe while wearing them on my face(during the Winter).When I bought a similar "Merino wool" gaiter/mask from Minus33 I could smell the same "industrial" smell as I did from the Polyester masks - which was suspicious to me, also it did not feel like wool. So I returned that one and ordered this WoolX gaiter/mask. This one at least does not smell like it originated from refined petrochemicals. I did not get a chance to test it in Winter's cold weather because I received it during the Spring but it seems like it should work fine for next Winter. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Well made, but very small! *by F***H on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2019* I really wanted to like this neck gaiter - the wool is very nice, soft and itch-free. However, the gaiter is sized for very small people - I felt like it was strangling me. The diameter needs to be at least a couple of inches bigger, and it could be longer too.
