Review: Easy Plug and Play for fog lights. - Made for an easy way to get my add-on fog lights working. GM is nice enough to have the needed wires already in the wiring harness, so this made it a "Plug and Play".
Review: Drop in replacement, easy to install - I purchased this for a 2005 Chevy 2500HD. The old switch failed because the fog lamp button wouldn't reset properly. I assume something happened inside with the spring mechanism. This switch fit perfectly and took me about 7 minutes to replace. Simply lower your steering wheel as far as it goes, turn the key without starting just enough to allow you to put the transmission in 1st gear (lowest handle position. Make sure you put the parking brake on) then take a small screw driver and pry off the plastic frame around the dash. Take note of where the clips are to make it easier when you replace it. Don't force it. Just work it easily and it will pop off. Now you have access to the switch. Use your small screw driver to pry the clips up on the top and bottom of the installed switch. You'll have to wiggle it a bit to get it out. There is a wire harness on the back of the switch. Pull it off by lifting the clip on the connector. Then just install your new switch and perform the steps in reverse. Very easy... I don't know the long term reliability of this switch, but it certainly went in easy and operates fine.

**Q: what if I didnt have fog lights installed before what would I do in my case?**
A: It would just be blank, no power to the fog lights you don't have. You'll be fine, it's a great part and I highly recommend it!

**Q: Have 01 1500HD no factory fogs, how do i use my aftermarket fogs on a switch like this or factory looking switch on dash bezel?**
A: There are some good YouTube videos on the subject. It is possible to replace the single push button switch with the 2 button switch. I haven't done any more yet but have the parts. Yes, it can be done.

**Q: i need one of these for my 2001 siverado z71 and ordered this one and it isnt the correct hook up, any suggestions?**
