So if i was to buy now would it be 3 year life or stock thats left with only months- a year?** A: It will be the remaining life as it depends on the stock turnover of the vendor. That said - the date stanp is a best before and not 'Throw Away'. These are the commercial packages of UK forces 24 hour eation packs. Like MREs - these will survive for a long time after the date stanp. My view - don't worry about it. But - don't buy the chilli with rice. It's awful. The old version of chilli-con-carne without rice was yummy. The new version tastes like rewarmed vomit. **Q: Use by date, please?** A: Look on the packet or email company! **Q: What date do these have on them ?** A: Mine had a BBE date of 01/2023 on them but that is irrelevant as you may get packs from a batch with a different date.
