They're so Claptonesque that these arrangements offend them ... Too simple! Too dull! Full of mistakes! And so on. I'm a sometimes busker and am often approached and 'corrected' by these superstars who can't afford to wait for stardom so they've started without it and gone straight into pub gigging, where, alas, nobody actually listens to them after the first drink anyway.If you're the kind of person who would be happy, say, just to be Jeremy Spencer and leave Peter Green to find Danny Kirwan, this book will give you a very enjoyable entry into playing some Beatle tunes.Despite what some of the other reviewers say, you'd need to be sort of intermediate level at fingerpicking for lots of it. But if you fancy yourself as a, ahem, Guitarist ... forget it. Because it is music that I am familiar with, with practice and some determination I was able to learn all of the tunes that I chose.Highly recommended to anyone wishing to take up the fingerpicking style. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aimed at Intermediate and 1 year Players *by C***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 25 November 2009* Hal Leonard obviously found they had a rich vein of players who liked the easy fingerstyle arrangements they produced in this series and went for it with about 20 titles. This Beatles version is very good value for 30 songs. Pretty easy to play. I use them as a teacher for my players who've done about a year and want to build a bit of a repetoire of bombproof solos. (All very well going for the sophisticated arrangements - but do you want to play those and risk errors in front of an audience?)If you want the next level up after knocking this lot off, then try the Schoenberg book. If this book is about Grade 2 to 4, then the Eric Schoenberg is about Grade 5 to 8.
