The Velcro type straps (one each side) are wide and a good length and allow the cover to be pulled in well and feel like they won’t come free unintentionally. As they grip quite well I tend to hold both parts of the Velcro strips when pulling apart vs letting one pull against the main cover to avoid risk it might strain the joint. Height wise it’s just right too, clear of the ground but not too short either. The top shaping also matches the BBQ cover shape well. The Weber logo on front finishes it off nicely. Yes, the official covers aren’t cheap, but are well made and I hope will last well (we keep ours outdoors but under shelter and mostly out of the sun when not in use which should help).
