It’s now almost June 2019 and I can say that this bag has not only survived the entire school year without a hitch, but it looks as new as the day we got it, even despite daily use. The lunch bag has held up spectacularly and is the perfect size for her to carry her lunch thermos, a utensils, and a container of snacks with plenty of room to spare. She could probably fit her water bottle in there as well, but chooses not to because she likes it in her backpack side pocket. The lunch bag is very durable, easy to clean, and keeps her lunch contained until it’s time to eat. When it gets dirty, it’s easy to wipe down. I’ve also tossed it into the washer and let it air dry when it got a bit sticky when she spilled fruit juice in it. The bag went through the washer without a problem and air dried within a few hours. Since owning it, the bag has not faded or discolored in any way and the zipper still works smoothly. One thing to note is that this bag did have a strong neoprene scent to it when we first received it. I gave it a quick wash and air dry and the scent faded in less than a week. I would definitely purchase this bag over any of those padded lunch bags - this single layer material upholds much better than the padded insulated bags and is less likely to rip or tear. It was the same price or cheaper than any of the traditional lunch boxes for sale at the time. Since then it has been taken to school every day, forgotten in the locker over the weekend twice while juice and fruit rotted inside it, had a chocolate pudding cup exploded inside of it, had my child write on the outside in ink (adding whiskers to the cat), been used as a makeshift handbag, been dragged through the snow (my kid on the way to the bus in the morning walk like a defeated gorillas). This bag has washed up easily, dries nicely (I wash it in the sink with soap and water, then turn it inside out and place it upside-down over a cup. It's dry by morning.) My kid thinks it is cute as heck.The zipper is sturdy. The bag accordions out and accommodates breakfast, lunch & afternoon snack ( 2 applesauce containers, 2 cheese sticks, 2 yogurts, 2 juice packs, granola bar, pudding pack, cutie orange and a freezer pack to keep everything cold for example) with room to spare. Do beware of the listed dimensions - they are accurate but include the handle, so some of the height isn't usable for packing.This bag has been packed one occasion then forgotten at home on the counter all day. When I unpacked it some 8 hours later, it was still cold inside when I unzipped it, courtesy of the freezer pack and material that the bag sewn from.This bag has been easier to take care of than any other lunch box purchased -- and all of the other typical lunch box's "wipe-able" interiors have torn by this point in the school year.
