These are very light compared to nano's which is what I have been wearing- more minimal. I had a hard time returning because I do like the look and they are comfortable but for true training...I feel the fit could possibly become a problem. I wanted to switch because I feel the nano's are a bit wide in the toe box which these are not. I also ordered the 7.5, which were MUCH bigger and wider-- too big. I will be returning those as well. I wear 8s, that's what I ordered, and they are fine. I use the for CrossFit. I can run short laps in them, but wouldn't go for a long run in them as they have no arch support and little padding under foot. I gave them 4 stars because the insole is not glued down and ends up shifting around onside the shoe. I wear them primarily for weight-lifting gym days. I definitely can tell the difference in ankle flexibility when doing squats in these, versus my New Balance running shoes. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the insole slides around and shifts toward your heel. I can feel my toes hanging off the edge in my shoe when it slides backward throughout my workout. It can be completely removed for a more "bare foot" approach, but I prefer the feel of the shoe with the insole.
