All plastic housing, and useless tiny one page instructions, but everything you need to install as a replacement to any porch light. The light comes on when it's dark, and goes off around dawn. It was brighter than I thought it would be for the price. So, I think 5 stars is in order for this light. I wanted an LED light that turned on/off automatically and that's what I got.
