I am 5'4" and it hits just above the knee-cap. I normally wear a medium but I decided to size-up just in case . . so it is less constricting during sleep. I guess that person hadn't washed it yet. Mine arrived with fabric sizing in it (so not quite as soft as a t-shirt) but once I washed it, it's nice and soft. I just washed on warm and hung up to dry. I'm sure at some point I'll forget to pull it out of the washer to hang dry and it will get tossed in the dryer and probably be a few inches shorter. It's fine though, it goes down to my knees (I'm 5'2") so even if it loses a few inches it will still be modest. This is my favorite night gown right now. I love that it is comfy and has long sleeves. I'm probably going to order one or two more in different colors. I felt it was priced fairly for what I received and it doesn't feel super cheap or anything.UPDATE 1/14/2020 - I absolutely love this nightgown. I bought it almost exactly 4 months ago and have worn it nearly every night. It has held up beautifully. I've put it in the dryer way more times than I should have because I forget but it's still a perfect length for me. It was $16 when I bought it and I see the price has gone up by a dollar. Still very much worth the price I paid.
