I really like how solid this mount is, but I find it very hard to tighten enough on a cold shoe for it to be really secure. The knurling on the two tightening disk is not that aggressive and the disks don't protrude enough to get a good grip on them for tightening. I can crank it down pretty hard and then find that my Video Assist still slides slightly on the cold shoe after a bit.
