Last night however, I had the time to cook and decided on a filet mignon with a coffee, brown sugar and smokey paprika rub. The oil itself is luxurious. In texture and in taste. My steak seared perfectly with a beautiful coating and the taste was out of this world. Magnifique! I cannot wait to return to France and visit this family and farm. I purchased the oil by doing a search on Amazon for products from France. I wanted to remember my honeymoon and give my family gifts from the region in which I traveled. I purchased three cans for the holidays, giving two away as gifts. My brother in law exclaimed when he opened it and told his wife, "This oil is like gold, please refrain from using it without me!". We consume a lot of salad greens at home and I am always looking for the best tasting olive oil to dress the greens (you know, the kind they serve at good restaurants but you can never find for home consumption). Let me just say...my search is over. This olive oil is amazing...clean, flavorful, never bitter, and goes really well with a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice. In addition, the couple who produces the oil are extremely dedicated to producing and maintaining an extremely a high-quality product, and it is apparent in the quality of the oil. The customer service was amazing, as well (they even included a personal letter with our Amazon purchase!). I purchased the smaller bottles for holiday gift baskets and I plan to order the 1 quart containers for myself in the near future. The flavor is not particularly strong , but you can tell its of very high quality. The sellers of the oil are very friendly. I received a nice handwritten note from them . They live on a 12 acre farm in Provence France where this olive oil is sourced. So happy to receive an authentic product from such nice people. The oil has won a few awards, and it is directly from France which is very chic.I recently mixed the oil with some real Balsamic vinegar and dipped my baguette in the mixture , and it was heavenly.
