One for each side of the oven. **Q: Are they dishwasher safe?** A: I haven't tried that yet but I don't see why not and on the top shelf. To be on the safe side, remove before the heating cycle. **Q: does it work if your stove is 1" above the counter?** A: Yes, it does work. I was hesitant about ordering the crumb catcher because my stove sits about 3/4 to 1" higher than my countertop. I've had mine for about a year now and so glad I got it. It is surprising all the crumbs that would be on the floor or stuck in between the stove and cabinet if it weren't there. And you don't see it either. I take a table knife every few months and slide mine out from the back end, clean it and slide it back in place. **Q: I have a very tight fit between my stove and granite counter tops. Is it flexible enough for tiny openings?** A: The Crumb Catcher is very flexible, and fits into gaps as small as 1/16th of an inch. They were easy to dislodge, impeded full use of the counter and looked ugly. These are great! When you slip them into the gap, pressure keeps them in place. They catch the crumbs and when you want to clean them, they are easy to remove and replace. They sit below counter-level, so you don't see them at all unless you are specifically looking for them.
