I don't like sweets. But I needed kefir in my life. I love that I can make my own butter, sour cream dips etc. And since they are cold they don't lose their culture bacteria! Imagine my surprise when I discovered the Kefir Cookbook with all the different recipes that can be made with kefir - from soups to salad dressings to dips and sauces.After reading the book and experimenting with the different recipes, I have now begun to use kefir where cream is required in savoury cooking, in curries etc.. I have used kefir with cow, goat and sheep's milk and found that kefir enhances flavours and boosts creaminess when used with different ingredients.Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cookbook *by C***J on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2020* Just arrived today and I breezed through it just to see what was in it. Looks like a great addition to my kitchen. I just began making my own kefir and of all things, this cookbook is by the daughter of the founders of Lifeway which makes Kefir which I was drinking their product until it disappeared off the shelves. It was by far the best tasting and having GWS as a military vet with lots of digestive challenges, kefir has proved to be better for me than even yogurt.I'm experimenting with it in my kitchen and loo forward to making some of the recipes in this book. Lots of really helpful information to get you started in this book. Since COVID also trying my hand at making homemade bread but it always comes out so dense. I thought it was because of my beginner skills (or lack thereof!) but in this book they say that using whole wheat flour makes for denser bread. Well...whatdaya know? That is all I was using !! In all the YT videos I watched to learn how to make bread, that was never mentioned once!
