I have a larger head and this mask fits wonderfully. It is extremely warm. I work in a freezer for 8 hours every day with an average temperature of -8°F and this mask keeps me warm the whole time. It is snug but not too snug yet not real loose either. In my opinion its a perfect fit. Easy to breath in, doesn't make you feel suffocated at all also you don't feel your hot breath being trapped in either. ( As a side note) - it doesn't build up that slight moisture patch on the inside from you breathing either like most masks do. If you have worn a mask in the cold you know what I'm talking about. Also I have 6 huge fans that are constantly blowing piercing cold air right at me while I'm working and everywhere the mask covers I feel absolutely no wind or coldness on my skin. Nice material, feels like cotton on the inside and neoprene on the outside, multi functional with wearing position and doesn't slide around. I have bought 13 different types of masks and this is the best one yet. Would give it 5 stars, but haven't been able to test it in extremely low temperatures yet. Rating will be updated after my trip.I measured my head before ordering and ended up ordering 2 sizes (medium and large) because my head measured 58mm which is at the size change. After receiving the 2 sizes, it seems the measurement given in the ad for sizes are based on the top portion of the balaclava mainly. Between the medium and large, the face mask portions fit the same and the head portion varied (See images w/ size labeled). I ended up liking the medium size more because it was snug pretty much everywhere while the large was not at the seam on the forehead. It seems to be pretty warm and the mesh opening at the nose and mouth allows for easy breathing and is not all restrictive.The only issue I could see with this balaclava would be wearing goggles with it. The reason is the nose bridge of the face mask doesn't sit quiet flush all the way across the cheeks which allows your breath to escape towards your eyes. I could see this being a reason for goggles to fog up stated in other reviews, but I haven't had the opportunity to try with goggles yet.As a person with a sensory disorder this balaclava fits very well, is quiet comfortable, and doesn't itch or scratch while putting on and wearing. Also, it stays put pretty much when putting on/taking off a tight fit helmet and is quiet comfortable wearing various ways with the helmet on. Mobility is non-restricted and the neck cover is long enough to stay in my shirt well on the longer neck cover balaclava. I figured that moving around would cause the neck part to pull out of my shirt, but it doesn't.It is very comfortable to wear every way I wore it with one exception. When wearing it with the head covered and around the neck without the face mask it was a little snug in the throat, but tolerable. It also covers the ears great no matter how it is worn unless wearing at as a neck gaiter, obviously! :)Last, the shell seems to be waterproof well. I put a portion of the balaclava under a running faucet and water ran off immediately with minimum absorption.
