We bought a size 12 in case they ran small or she had a growth spurt before my daughter's wedding. The dress would be a perfect fit on a size 12 girl, but the corset back allowed us to cinch it up for a great fit without looking too big.We we disappointed in the fact that the material had a cheap feel to it (much like the Halloween costumes that you'd buy for a child at Walmart), and the skirt did not poof out like a princess dress without adding a slip to make it poof, so that was an added expense on top of an already over priced dress. Also, the scarf that came with it was a bit more narrow than the perception we got from the pics.However, my granddaughter looked and felt like a princess when she walked down the isle.
