It is suitable for drilling to a depth up to four times the diameter of the drill. Good for portable or machine drilling. The shank diameter is the same as the drill size. The R18H series has a type W flute form, with a high (fast) helix (35- to 45-degree) angle that has best performance drilling into copper, aluminum magnesium, and synthetic materials (thermoplastics). The high helix design enhances chip formation and evacuation of chips (also called swarf). Coolant has a better flow to the drill point for heat dissipation, and higher speeds and feeds for increased productivity.
