The bags he buys are extremely thin and silky plastic with handles. When I tied the knot it was too small and slipped right through the Fifth Paw. I tied another looser knot and it was still too small. So then I hooked it by the handle openings and it worked fine.On our next walk I tied the handles in a knot to seal it, then tied them in another double knot a little bit above the original knot so there was a small opening and I slid it onto the Fifth Paw that way.If I had used thicker bags I have no doubt that it would have worked perfectly.Overall I really like the convenience of not having to carry a bag of poop and it didn't interfere with the walk at all. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Indispensable on walks *by E***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2014* UPDATE: I'll leave my original review below.I expressed my concern about the sharp orange pieces holding the leash in place in my last video. I now want to reiterate that they are SHARP! I've cut myself on them (drawn blood) three times since writing my last review, as a result of my dog's sprinting after wild critters. The sprinting is not a result of a lack of training - my dog is an excellent loose leash walker - it is his natural instinct, and cannot be trained out.I appreciate the note that the Fifth Paw representative left in reply to my last review, but I wanted to write an update so other consumers were aware of this issue for the time being. I do hope they fix this - because I still do love this product for the utility it provides. It's just the execution that could be more refined. I will update again if this is fixed.----------------------------------------------I love the Fifth Paw! It helps me walk my large, strong dog hands free. I can use both hands to make sure my pooch is safe. I use this on the Ruffwear Flat Out leashes, it fits very well. Don't try using it with anything thicker than your typical nylon leash, as it will be a tight fit. It fit on a leather leash, but definitely took some finessing. There are three hooks - I use one for clean bags, one for used bags, and one for my keys. Perfect!My only minor criticism is I wish the flat orange pieces holding the leash in place had dulled edges. I've dinged my hands on them a couple times when my dog suddenly tried to take off after a squirrel (high prey drive). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GOOD PRODUCT BUT PARTS NEEDS IMPROVEMENT *by W***✅ on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2017* It does work well and a must have for any dog owner when walking outside . It really holds multiple bags of poop and allows you to have both hands free and makes a safer walk for you and your dog.Assembly is easy, it looks pretty cool too. I got mine in green and planning to buy 3 more for my 3 other leashes.The only thing I would like the company to improve on is the quality of the round white plastic and the main body of the product. If they can build it out of a BETTER QUALITY plastic, that is durable, strong, shiny material it'll be awesome.The plastic just feels weak and on the cheap side for $14.99. There's lots of types of plastics and I hope they will improve on that because this one feels very fragile that it can break with improper handling when trying to assemble.Overall, a must buy.UPDATE : 10/10/17Long trail walks have been so much more comfortable and it really makes it so much easier because both your hands are free and can be concentrated on the leash or other things.I hope they do improve the quality of the plastic. Upgrade to a better one that has that strong, sturdy feel.UPDATE : 12/5/17For some reason the white rotating outer ring got loose and the whole thing slid down on the ground, I took a look at the white ring and it snapped, it has a crack, now it will not latch back to the main body of the product.The rotating green part also got damaged when it hit the ground. I contacted the CEO of the Fifth Paw Stephen Longo and he was nice enough to send me the white outer ring and an extra one but I cannot use it without the GREEN rotating ring so it's useless.
