The material is almost like a very delicate/fake pleather, but looks great! I bought these and as soon as they arrived I took them out and put them on. I was able to walk all over the house in comfort and not once feel unstable. I am one of those girls that loves the girly shoes, but I have no balance in a heeled shoe. Even many of the platform shoes that I have tried have a sloped angle to them and the platform is narrow. This was not the case with these shoes! I just love them! I wish the other colors were available in my size. I have the white ones which are not a blinding white color. They do get dirty and scuffed, but super easy to clean. I used a clorox whip and was able to make them like new again. I wear these quite often and they have maintained the comfort. One thing I did notice is that these shoes can be rather slippery depending on the type of floor that you are walking on. I walked on some tile in my house and almost lost traction. I think it is just the material being so smooth when first purchased. If you plan on wearing them out and do not want to slip and fall in public (yikes) I would recommend wearing them around so they can get some texture to the bottom of the shoe.Thank you for reading my review. They were too small. On the narrow side also. 7.5 would have probably fit but they don't sell half sizes. Also, beware that if you need to return these shoes, as I did, that they ship from UK. Not remembering how much I paid for these shoes, I stupidly went to Post Office to return and the cheapest International postage cost me $22.00 almost the cost of the shoes. If I had remembered this, I would have kept them. I'm waiting for my refund as I just shipped these yesterday. They are adorable shoes, and platform height is around 3.5-4"....I just lost money returning these shoes!!
