However,I didn't find it too difficult to figure out.1) after removing the old bulb and rubber cover, remove the plastic ring from the LED.2) place the plastic ring into the assembly. Because it doesn't have the same indented shape as the original 9003, a lot more force is needed to get the spring clip to lock into place.3) place the rubber cover back on, making sure that the inner part of the plastic ring is fully inside of the hole in the middle of the rubber cover. I had to do this by feel.4) install the LED, making sure the kind of scoop shape (this is the low beam cutoff) is on the bottom. This may seem counterintuitive, but the light reflects off of a mirror. You may need to rotate it a bit to make sure it locks in place. Also here a bit of force is needed to get the LED all the way in and properly seated. It can still be pulled out easily by hand, but this is ok. As firmly as it sits, it would take a significant impact to knock it out of the housing. At which point the LED is the least of your concerns.5) finally, reconnect the power cable and turn on the low beams/high beams to test it out. If your low beam doesn't cut the proper angle (e.g. upside down, sideways, etc.) Then rotate it until it sits correctly.The low beams have a good natural white bordering on daylight white color (I think it's closer to 5000k than 6000k), and decent level of brightness. This is just where I want it. It allows me to see and be seen, but won't blind other drivers. The high beams add just a bit of brightness and have no cutoff; just like they are supposed to have. Many people that are used to the term "brights" confuse this with meaning that the high beams are supposed to be significantly brighter. They are not. That is what off road lights, spotlights, and work lights are for.Being fanless at this level of brightness is a very nice find, especially for this price.I only hope these have the same longevity that I currently experience with other LEDs. I will update this review if it becomes necessary. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good light output, I would keep a few things in mind. *by C***O on April 27, 2017* The lights are very bright and were of good design. The back heat-sync comes off so you can put the rubber cover on the back of your bulb for water resistance.I marked it down one star for two reasons:The first reason is the beam pattern is not a clean cut off, it has a slight "V" shape to the low beams. Additionally, the marking indicators on where the flat in the light should be don't line up. I highly recommend that you do not install the heat-sync or the rubber cover until you have adjusted the lights to reflect in the spot you want by loosening the screw and rotating the light in the holder. This was probably my mistake or oversight but was slightly annoying. I apologize, I should have taken some photos of this.The second issue might be specific to my vehicle (81 Toyota Pickup), but I also converted my dash lights to LED over a year ago. My High Beam indicator light grounds to illuminate. Since the led bulb in my dash doesn't allow enough current for my low beam lights to turn on, the low beam LEDs don't provide power to my dash LED indicator light (See attached photo). Since the circuit was designed with incandescent lights and they would still provide low voltage power to my indicator light all the time, I am having to wire in a 200ohm resistor (or possibly 2) in parallel to get my high beam indicator light to work again. This could have been wired into the LED circuit, but I'm not sure if this is a common way of illuminating an indicator light on the dash so I won't fault the light design for that.All in all, I would recommend these to my friends but advise them of what I learned on my install to save them 2 days of troubleshooting/install after work. I had to learn a lot about how LED circuits work to figure this one out. :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than I ever expected for $20 *by E***N on October 29, 2018* Just got these in. I have them on my old 2000 Tahoe. The only 2 issues I had (if you can call them issues) were, I had to take the bracket off the back of the headlight assembly to install the lights. This was not difficult. There were six 5.5mm bolts that held it in place. Second, the connection had to be reversed in order for the lights to work.
