Should they last a long time? ### ⭐ Only worked once *by A***R on January 15, 2025* I thought my cheap igniter I purchased at the beginning of the heating season was failing, it would no longer light. I figured I should buy the OEM version and found some forum recommending Pellet Head which was nearly 3 times the cost of my old one but figured it would be worth it to get years of use. Once I received the correct product (I received the wrong product first but I believe that was an Amazon error) I installed it and it failed to light. I then tried again a day later and it worked. Then it wouldn't work after that. The pellets were warm but not hot enough to combust. I found I had some char built up in my fire pit but all the scrapping and checking of my gaskets could not get this igniter to work. I called support and they gave me the electrical characteristics which the igniter did meet. However, it only pulled 2.3 amps consistently which at 115v is only 264w. For a 308w igniter brand new to only pull 264w I think is the problem, dumping unburned pellets into the ash bin.
