My waist is 28" and my hips are 45". I'm pear shaped with a flat stomach. I'm so glad I listened to the reviews that said it runs small. These are Chinese sizes. You need to size up. I currently fit into a US size 14 pants and skirts but got this in a size 16 and it fit me perfect because the skirt is shaped like me a very small waist and flares in the hip area. I had to put it on over my head because I couldn't get it on over my hips because of the waist part being so small. when I pulled it down over my head it fit me perfectly no gap in the waist so I won't have to have it tailored like all my other skirts because they usually fit me very large in the waist to be able to fit over my wide hips. This skirt hits me almost to my ankles. The material is soft and stretchy. I am 5 foot 3 inches and it drops to about 6 inches above ankle. I was concerned about the "crease folds" illusion in the front but they are very subtle and look natural. I also like the "wear marks" on the thighs and on the back. It is a great look, accentuates your curves making your legs look longer. Quality denim and construction. Great with boots and sandals. The only thing I disiked was the smell of the skirt. Every clothing item ordered from China has an unpleasant chemical scent almost like mildew.
