A: Think it’s Petroleum based

**Q: Anyone use this on shifters?**
A: If you mean shifter cables, I guess you could but a thinner oil or silicone is better; this is a little thick similar to vaseline

**Q: Is this grease can use on bicycle wheel bearings?**
A: The label on the container states this product is for suspension grease, o-rings & seals. It does not mention bearings of any kind. I have used this grease on both jockey wheel and mtb pedal bearings in addition to using it on front suspension system and have not had any problems.
