When I opened the box the lens was a little larger that I thought it would be. Upon examining the lens I could see it was well constructed and the adjustments operated smoothly. There were no instructions in the box my lens came in so I was able to use the pictures on the outside of the box to attach and set the lens up for use. As with any monocular, the more you increase the magnification the less steady it is when hand held. A small tripod was included for use to get the max magnification shots. After I experimented with the lens to make sure I could easily take photos with my smartphone I was very pleased with the quality of the photos using the monocular. All in all, the monocular works very well and I would say worth the price I paid.
