I never planned on using it as a money clip, that's why I gave it 5 stars. I wanted it more for the discreet way to carry a pocket knife. Although the entire thing is larger than my current pocket knife, it's relatively flat and I can barely notice it in my pocket. I'm a dad, so I have need for a pocket knife at least a couple times a week. It seems sturdy. Not particularly sharp, but that's fixed in about 30 seconds. Overall I love the design. Learning to hold the blade takes a little playing with, but do-able. As a money clip I would say that an ID, 1 or 2 credit cards and 4-5 bills. This comes no where near being big enough for me. If you are a true minimalist you can absolutely use this as a money clip. If you're part of the other 99% of society, you might just want to buy this as a cool, discrete pocket knife.
