Why Do The Subtitles Censor The Word "Dalit"?
For a movie that's about caste prejudice, I think that it's embarrassingly hypocritical that the subtitles censored the word "dalit". Whoever was hired to write the subtitles clearly is a bigot themselves.

A cheap shot take at problems in education in India
what is shown in the movie is a CLASS Struggle masquerading as Caste Struggle. Why should a rich bankers son get a seat in professional courses in spite of the fact that he scored 50% less than the lowest entry from an upper caste student? Reservation in its present form is a waste of precious resources. It is so bad that students who could not score positive marks( -0.25 mark for each wrong answer) in medical entrance tests get entry in to Medical Colleges. Not just during the bachelors degree, they have reservation during the masters degree intake of students. There have been multiple instances wherein the student who scores first rank in MD entrance is not able to pick and choose a specialty he/she wishes to pursue. The system is in such a way that no political party wants to tackle this foolishness, its as if all these politicians have caught hold of a tigers tail, and any one who has guts to let it go will be the first one to get killed by the tiger. It not only spoils the present generations, the system is rigged in such a way that it is kept in perpetuity. Take for example during 2000-2010, there was an entrance test to pick teachers for government schools in Andhra Pradesh. Of the total of 80,000 odd teachers selected for the teachers job there were about 14000 teachers from quota who were shortlisted received negative marks in the entrance exam. How can someone who could not even get positive marks teach future students. So what does the AP government do to hide the embarrassment, they take out the negative marks system and call it a day.

Interesting, informative, not very entertaining.
Very interesting information about corruption and politics in India's educational system. Unfortunately it's rarely an involving or entertaining movie; it never goes beyond polemics. Too bad, a good movie about the subject could be amazing.

The movie is very good. Highly recommended
The movie is very good. Highly recommended. However the quality of the DVD was not upto the mark. That is why I have given in 4 stars. The print was disappointing. I expected much better quality DVD from whoever made this product.
