Good level, too bad the pricing has changed
I came across this brand of level in a trade publication I get. Looked them up on Amazon and although they were back ordered, the price was ridiculously low. (under $10!) Bought 48" & 24" version as well.As far as the level goes, it is pretty decent quality and I do feel the red background helps if you want to be dead on. The mirrored vial works just as advertised too.

As good as it gets!
Top notch level as for accuracy, useful ergonomically designed features, and easy to read. Overall surpasses most, if not all, competitors. Get one.

Strong, Accurate, Easy to Read.
The level looks awesome and feels awesome. The sight glass that allows you to check a vertical level is great feature and easy to see/read. Product is as described and meets my expectations.

This May Be the Last 24-inch Level You Will Ever Buy
Every so often I come across a product that takes and improves on something I have used for decades, and makes me want to just go and throw away all the others. The Kapro 905-41-24 Condor Professional Box Level is that type of product. I've had my share of levels, from the 9-inch to the 72-inch models, some were magnetized, some weren't. One had a laser with a tripod, and all the other accompaniments, and the rest were pretty much like each other. I have had levels I carefully packed away, and when I needed that particular one and got it out again, I found several of the vials had leaked and were empty.I know this 24 inch, non-magnetized model that I tested, the Kapro 905-41-24, is built to last. The vials are covered by a heavy shield that doesn't flex inward when pressed. Each end has a strong rubber shockproof endcap that is substantial in size, and you can loop a line through it for tying the level between two pieces of construction, say flooring. I have thrown this level around, and watched it bounce off of everything I threw it at, and it still worked fine, which is something I would never have done with any of my other levels. The middle gradient gives you an idea of it you are from 0.5% to 2% off grade, and there's this "Dual-View Vial with RedEffect," their wording, at one end that uses a mirror to allow you to use the vertical level on the fat or skinny side of the level. Both wide sides have two rubber pads that keep the level from slipping while you are using it, especially with those vials on the horizontal side. While the one I tested wasn't magnetized, you can get it magnetized for less than $5.00 more. I like this one so much, I'm added to my Wish List the Kapro 227-08, which I will probably just go ahead and get myself. If I could give this 6 Stars, I would.

Good design within limits, but a QC issue
Anyone doing carpentry at some point will need a level, and a good level is a tool that can expect to be used for years. Is this one?First the good stuff:The vertical bubble with the periscope window to let you see it from two directions is a clever idea. The hand grip is a nice feature as are the rubber end caps and rubber pads to make it slip resistant. It has a solid feel to it that suggests it should be rugged in use. The optivision red bubble does make it a little easier to discern the edges of the bubble, though I did not find it as useful as they claim. The Not So Good Stuff:The video mentions that it is available with a magnet option - but this is the non-magnet version. If you need that feature, make sure you get the correct version. The horizontal and 2 vertical bubbles are okay - but an additional bubble for 45° angles would be useful as well - you need it to do diagonal braces. There's room for one. If you are going to invest in a high-quality level, that really should be part of the package. The big problem is the horizontal level. The bubble in it is far too big. (see photo) The product video shows a bubble that's much smaller. This makes it nearly useless for checking to see if a surface is level. I have to wonder about the quality control that let this slip through.Bottom Line: If not for that, the other quibbles wouldn't be enough to keep me from liking this level. As it is, I can't recommend it, not without the option of exchanging it for one with the proper-sized bubble, or some way of swapping out the bubble unit for a replacement.
