Arrow RT90P Fastener Pneumatic Rivet Tool , RED

I am so happy I bought this air riveter! I have worked way too hard through the years. This Arrow air riveter made everything really easy! Easy to setup and very easy to use. Worth every penny!

Great pneumatic pop rivet gun if you are going to do many rivets at a time. Make certain your compressor will keep up. This riveter is very easy to use and with care should last a long time.

Works like a dream and super quiet too. Wish I would have bought sooner.

The ARROW Fastener Pneumatic Rivet Tool is advertised as being able to use up to 3/6" pop rivets in any material, including stainless steel. Unfortunately the one that I received lacked enough power to pop a 3/16" aluminum rivet, much less a stainless steel rivet. I tried rivets in both materials at both 90 psi and at 100 psi and the tool squeezed the rivets but did not break-off or remove the mandrels making the tool useless. Also, it may or may not be related, but the tool does not hold on to the rivets prior to pulling the trigger, they would just fall out if you pointed it down. I need to be able to use 3/16" stainless steel rivets so I had to return my tool to Amazon.As a follow-up to my initial review, I contacted Arrow Fasteners customer support to let them know about their gun not working properly. They quickly sent a brand-new replacement to hopefully address the issue, but, unfortunately the replacement tool worked only marginally better than the original. It required 100 psi air and two to three trigger pulls to be able to set and only break-off 3 of 4 test rivets. I would not recommend this RT90P tool for use with 3/16" rivets in any material.

Honestly, this was purchased as a replacement for a tool of similar design (Jonnesway) that I either lent to a friend and forgot to get back, or lost in a move. The similarity in design and construction led me to believe that it might be the same tool, but with a different paint job and name. This turns out not to be true.Where the Jonnesway tool would easily pull 1/4" rivets, this tool struggles with 3/16", sometimes requiring multiple draws on the trigger to get the job done. For smaller rivets it's fine, but it's only really useful if you're doing A LOT of them, as for one or two it's faster and easier to do with a hand tool.It's a reasonable value for the money, and seems well built (as it should be from the Arrow brand), but it's not the powerhouse I wanted, or expected it to be.

I liked how well it worked right out of the box. Only complaint is that the air line when attached sticks straight out the side making it difficult to get close to some spots. Would be better exiting down or on a swivel
