Good for what they are and ocassional use.
These are the cheap torque wrenches you get at harbor freight and you save about $9 buying this set compared to buying them individually from the store. They work well if you don't plan on using them that frequently. Loosen them when you're done so there's no tension on the spring so they don't lose their calibration quickly. Having them calibrated would cost more than each wrench but you can find video instructions on how to calibrate them yourself. I've used all three and they do a decent job but I don't plan on using them more than a few days a year which is why I didn't want to spend much more on a set. These 3 give you a good range so you can do your best to work in the middle of the torque range of each wrench which is where they're more accurate. I wound up using all three during a recent brake job and was happy with their performance.Of the three I received only one came with the wrench in a plastic bag along with a packet of silica gel, and some papers including a certificate of calibration. The other two only had the wrenches in their cases along with the paper outer sleeve. Contacted the seller and they reassured me they were new stock.

These work great. I have checked their calibration using various methods ...
Bought these to use in places where it is difficult to read the scale on the set of beam type torque wrenches I own. These work great. I have checked their calibration using various methods and for my purposes I am very satisfied. I check the calibration roughly every year using a torque test, against my beam type wrenches, and also using a known weight and math. I check each method at various points in the range of each of the wrenches. I have not had the need to recalibrate the wrenches as they have been spot on since purchasing two years ago. I do agree that the scale is can be a bit hard to read at times but I like the fact that adjustment scale is stamped/engraved into the metal as there is no print to wear away. I am happy that I purchased these and would buy again if needed. I use for working on my car, motorcycle, mountain and road bikes, and other projects where I am concerned about torque. I would recommend these for anyone looking for torque wrenches to use in a non-professional environment....and I only say that because I have not put them to the test in a professional environment where they would be used throughout each day under tough circumstances. For home shop use these have been great.

Good torque wrenc set for the money.
These seem to be very well made and have a nice molded case to store each one in. The torque setting are a little difficult to read since they are very small on the size and it is chrome on chrome. I think that if they would have used some sort of ink for the engraved numbers that it would be so much easier to read the settings.Pros:1. good torque wrenches for the money2. easy to use (if you can see the numbers)Cons:1. the numbers are hard to read since there is no contrast chrome on chrome. Would be much easier if the numbers were contrasted with some ink/paint

Great price, but I can't trust them so it isn't worth it to me.
I'm a certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic and I bought these to work on my truck. Changing head gaskets on a diesel requires an assortment of torque wrenches and I didn't have a Snap-on torque wrench that went high enough. I sheared the 1/4" drive wrench after a couple uses and the 3/8" drive "click" is barely detectable. The handle does move when you reach torque, but there is no audible "click" anymore after a few months of use. The largest of them seems to still work, but since the first two broke already, I have serious problems putting any faith into it. When torquing head bolts, I don't want to risk it so I'll be buying something higher quality. These will be going into the recycle bin.

Great deal! Love these wrenches.
These are great wrenches. Already used them to proprly torque down bolts on my Yamaha TW200 doing general maintenance. Good deal! These are probably not designed to be used in a professional shop where they get used 8 hours a day every day. For me, just wrenching on my own bikes and cars, etc.. they are PERFECT.

For the Weekend Mechanic
Not for professional mechanic. That being said, these wrenches are an excellent value for money invested, and will suffice for the "weekend mechanic". Scales for setting torque are hard to read and they do not have the quality feel of a Snap On torque wrench - but they cost less than 50% of a set of Snap On wrenches.

Defective engraving - can't read measurements
I bought this set. Went to use the 1/4 inch wrench today and discovered that the wrench's markings are defectively stamped for the ft-lbs in the right column and are not able to be read. It looks like the engraver/stamper slid sideways as it engraved the measurements and the numbers are not legible. I would like to return the wrench for an exchange, but missed the cut-off return date.INSPECT THE ENGRAVED MEASUREMENTS ON THESE AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE.

I have a great deal of mechanical experience and should have avoided this ...
Wrenches are NOT CALIBRATED ACCURATELY.I have a great deal of mechanical experience and should have avoided this "too good to be true offer".Shame on me. Please don't make the same mistake.I twisted off an intake manifold bolt into the cylinder head at 25 ft. lbs.As a test, I put the wrench on another bolt which was safe to turn - the wrench never broke over. Test on something safe like a wheel lug nut first. Now, to the dealership for parts replacement and machine work necessary to extract the bolt. Thanks Harbor Freight Tool Co. !! -- Yes, when you open the packaging, the instructional packaging insert is from Harbor Freight.
