very good;highly recommended
i play guitar for hobby and used to have portable amps (Fender Mini, Marshall Mini Stack, etc) but got rid of them. This thing sounds louder and more accurate than mini guitar amps.I also use this for lecture and it works very well. The one slight problem is that you have to put the mic so close to your mouth...always touching to get a good sound as if I try to eat the mic.

It is great for classroom usage and large crowds
First off, the item I received had a picture change after I received it. So I would be careful about the product you receive. It is a great over All product in which I used in the classroom and during my school duties at my school. My administration and other teachers love the idea and use of it. Sometimes the human voice tires from use, so this is perfect for speaking to large crowds...however...you may want to hook into a larger PA system like a Bullhorn to be more effective.

So Far It Seems To Be Working
A few times per week, I read to a second grade class in a local public elementary school. Some days my voice isn't strong enough to get over the general rhythm of the classroom. The TOOBOM Portable Mini Voice Amplifier seemed to be a solution. The instructions that came with the amplifier are the same instructions enclosed with several different models and clearly, they were not written by an English speaker. There is ample amplification, but you have to be very careful with speaker placement to avoid feedback. (I've had a broadcast engineer's license since 1974.) The sound coming from the speaker is intelligible, but sounds more like it's coming from a megaphone than a hi-fi speaker. It has a lithium battery that requires charging, but no charger comes with the unit; only a cable; USB to mini USB. You have to figure out which input port is the charging port. These is no diagram. Once you begin to charge the unit, you come to the conclusion that there's no way of knowing when it's fully charged. Would I buy it, knowing it's warts? No.Be very wary of the reviews that are not signified as "verified purchase."

It has saved my voice!!
I am a teacher with a soft voice. For the first time in my fairly long career my students can actually hear me! I love this thing!

Good speaker on a budget
This speaker is functional for small speaking engagements. Wouldn't try to use in a large room with say 50+ people, but great for smaller needs. A tad bulkier than I'd prefer, but seems this size is standard for the price point. Overall, good sound, but would consider something else again for larger crowds.

super happy.
Special Area Art teacher for Kinder - 5th grade all day then afternoon dismissal of calling out kids names when their cars arrive. Life and voice saver. Lightweight. Haven't tried out the MP3 player but, excited. For the price, you can't beat it. The free digital timer that comes with this as an added bonus is a bit odd... not planning on using it. It's "touchless activated" which I find equals... turning on and off and doing it's own thing when you don't want it to. Other than that.... super happy... and my young son may just need to own his own. He loves it too!!!
