This are great to block ports on a switch or server so you know what ports are configured. I use them to block ports on my servers that I don't have as part of a NIC Team. That way when I unplug a server to do work I know what ports to plug the network cables back into.

Very Handy Jack Cover
These are very handy for keeping dirt and moisture out of any unused RJ45 type jacks. Very easy to install and remove if need be.
