Wild Hazel Women's Cotton Elastic Waist, Line Victorian Style Skirt

Skirt was the length described in the text, but not as shown in the photos. It will not hit mid-calf unless you are about 6'6". Also, the gradation is not at all discernable, much unlike the photo.

This Wild Hazel Cotton Skirt is a fun flirty skirt that can be worn to work, to a party, on a night out, even to an information wedding. I have been wearing this skirt with a white shirt but it can also be worn with a blouse and a number of different colors (I wear white because of the white design on the skirt). The skirt is what I call “ruffley” which not only makes it fun to wear but makes the skirt thick enough so that you don’t need to wear a slip under it. The skirt comes down to my calf and can be worn with a wide variety of shoes –I prefer sandals. The washing instructions for the skirt say to hand wash it or have it dry cleaned – I wash and dry this skirt on the delicate cycle with no issues. I received this skirt in a size medium and while it fits well, it is tight across my stomach, and an extra pound or two will definitely show while wearing this skirt.I really like this Wild Hazel Cotton Skirt!

- Waist has tons of stretch, more than the skirt does- Stinks for several washes- Very soft feeling- I can find no tag with country of origin nor care instructions, which is technically against Federal law.- About 30" long, give or take, due to the ruffle effect- Top tummy section is soft, the rest is very thin but stiff with dyeI liked it online (even with the silly shoe choice) but it's falling short for me in person. The dye stink gave me a nasty headache, and the uneven hem line just looks like static cling.With the other 3 colors, you can better see the drape pattern (and it looks like coffin lining to me), but with the blue tie dye I got, you can't tell it, so it really just looks un-ironed or too light a fabric to even hang.So, not so much for me. This Wild Hazel, Rouched, Balloon Skirt is just lovely - so much prettier in person.The skirt is made of a light, 100% cotton gauze and 100% cotton knit. You should hand wash and hang to dry.The skirt has a wide, knit, upper band with a covered elastic waistband. The upper band is double fabric. It has a lot of stretch so the sizing is forgiving. The lower skirt is is heavily rouched with elastic cording. It has a balloon hem and is fully lined in the same, gauzy fabric. The rouching creates swags that have a Victorian feel. Despite all of the rouching, this skirt still presents a slim silhouette. It falls to about mid calf.This is a gorgeous skirt that will be perfect for spring and summer with sandals and a light top. But it also looks great over yoga pants with a camisole and maybe a cropped sweater that ties above the waist. If you have a post-baby pooch, it would also look nice with a loose, light top.

This skirt is cute but I'm a little unsure of what to pair it with. If you're at all bloated it will be noticed in this as the waist sits snugly against the body. The picture of it in the description is a little differently colored than the one I got, the picture is more ombre, mine is more straight grey. It fits well and is a nice length.

This is really gorgeous in person. Victorian style with comfortable modern yoga updates. Waistband is stretchy yoga material while skirt itself is rouched and draped in a lovely way. Lightweight and very bice. Reminds me of victorian skirts and underclothes. I think this is so much prettier in person. White is pretty sheer despite double layer of fabric on the skirt and rouching.

Such a unigue skirt, I love the fit and feel of it. It can be worn year round as it looks really cool with a heavy white sweater and boots or with a cropped tank and flip flops.
