GREAT look and quality, but VERY TIGHT (which is usually a good thing).
These things are fantastic - they look wonderful. Finished, yet vintage/classic/rugged looking! Pens fit perfectly into the pen loop, but BE ADVISED, the clip is extraordinarily tight!! I had to insert a few implements (screwdrivers, etc.) to get it wedged open enough to slide it over a leather notebook cover. NO WAY could I do this with my fingers or by pushing, alone. Do not worry about this falling off!! Again, they're beautiful and functional!

Not leather.
The leather is not genuine leather which is so disappointing for a retro style pen clip. The metal part color is not good looking too. Each of the pair looks different.

Needed modification
Once I modified them they worked ok. The problem with them was when you tried to take the pen out the clip would remove itself from the notebook. So I clamped down the clip so it had a tighter hold on my notebook. The leather was a bit thick to fit my pen clip over it so I had to trim some of that off as well.
