This casserole pan is so awesome, I love it
I have the Lodge 3.6 quart cast iron enamel casserole pan, and I love it. I also have Lodge dutch ovens in 3 quart, 4.5 quart, 6 quart and 7.5 quart. I have had them all for about six months and I use them all the time.Lodge never claimed that these cast iron enamel coated products are made in America, their cast iron skillets and such are made in America, and I guess if where something is made is what determines whether you like an item, you will most likely not like this casserole pan. I am not sure what some of the reviewers are doing with the casserole pan, or why they have peeled and cracked really bad. I use my casserole pan all of the time. I take care of them, I don't put them in the dishwasher, which is what causes the enamel to crack, I store them carefully, though I guess not too carefully as they are stacked together, and I don't wash them when they are still hot, but I don't let the food sit in them for extended periods either. I do not use this pan as an everyday skillet either, and I don’t believe it was meant for that either, that is what their skillets are for. I heat them up prior to putting food in them to cook, though I do use high temperatures at times. I put them in the oven almost every time I use them after starting on the stove. This casserole pan has held up wonderfully and make the most wonderful meals for me and my family. I love it, and it is not super expensive. Seeing as I have five items from Lodge, if there was really something wrong with the enamel coated products, I would assume I would have experienced something by now with at least one of the ovens or casserole pan, and I have not. Don't put them in the dishwasher!! They will not hold up. These are truly wonderful tools for cooking. I make the best pot roasts, short ribs, chicken coq au vin, and more with them. The 3.6 casserole is perfect for chicken coq au vin, and one pot chicken and rice, and dishes like those. I absolutely love that pan and I use it frequently. I make enough food for four people comfortably, five or six depending on portions. It can fit about 8 chicken thighs with skin and 1 pound baby potatoes or a cup of rice.I will detail the other items that I have below, just as an FYI.I have made pot roast and beef stew in the 3 quart dutch oven, and it has come out so good, so don't pay attention to the people that say you can't do so with the smaller ovens. You 100% can. I make my elder parents food in the 3 quart all the time, and it the makes perfect amount for them to have a couple of dinners. The 3 quart is also great for baked ziti dishes, bread, and the like. This dutch oven is perfect for a single person to make magnificent meals in.The 4.5 quart dutch oven is also perfect for making pot roasts, stews, and such for a couple of people. It has a little more room than the 3 quart, making it perfect for two people. The 6 quart dutch oven is perfect for making food for my husband and I that we can eat for a few days. It is also great for making food when we have company over. This oven would be perfect for a family of four, though you could also make enough for six without leftovers. The 7.5 quart dutch oven is perfect for a large family. I use this when we are eating with my brother and his children, or we are having several couples over and want left overs. My husband loves leftovers.I hope this helps. The only time I have ever written a review this long or detailed is for the Lodge enamel coated items. I really love these products and find them extremely useful. This casserole pan is a wonderful addition to my kitchen.

Highly recommend
I hate cleaning pots and pans and after purchasing two to trial them, I am going to purchase every size and replace my old cookware. There’s nothing like it. Good price and excellent satisfaction guarantee from a trusted company.

I luv Lodge
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Lodge 3.6 Qt. braiser in Oyster and the 5 Qt. Dutch oven in Midnight. They coordinate well with neutral exterior and interior colors. The taper makes deglazing easy and circulates moisture from the lid to outer walls and toward the center, so braises are dreamy. Sauces are superior in these compared to more expensive brands I own. The sturdier cast iron core distributes and retains heat better and longer. The braiser’s base surface area is wide, so I can brown more items without crowding. I even use the lid resting in its 500°F flat knob to rest items before returning them to the base (less cleanup).Lodge allows me to transform brisket, eye of round and short ribs into culinary marvels.Mine haven’t chipped, they’re still like new. I use them a lot since the price point wasn’t so precious - I feel like I can really put them through paces. That said, I’m really sorry other reviewers’ chipped. I don’t use metal in mine, or bang utensils on the rims. I allow them to cool before hand washing and avoid thermal shock (abrupt temperature changes can craze enamel coated cast iron). Lodge is aces, if I had a problem, I’d definitely contact them.It cleans easily and hasn’t stained - deglazes easily - even with tomato paste and delicious frond from seared ribs.Lodge cast iron is manufactured in Tennessee, but like other brands, the enamel coated line is manufactured in China. They’re upfront about that.I luv mine. The 3.6 Qt. braiser is the most used of all my enameled cast iron - from risotto to green bean casserole to short ribs and scalloped potatoes. Everyone comments on my Lodge pieces and neutral colors really showcase the food.I really appreciate the silicone tabs for lid storage - that’s a nice touch.Lodge pieces are heavy because the builds are thicker and enamel is double coated. That has advantages oven to table and with thermal convection. But, just know, it’s heavier to move and handle than Le Creuset (which is ridiculously overpriced - there, I said it).

Nice, but different color/s inside than shown
Was really excited to receive this! I don’t live in the states anymore but I love lodge cast iron so was willing to stump up for the shipping. But Ive marked it down because I was the enamel paint on the inside was a different color on the lid (a kind of light beige/brown 😕) than in the base (an ivory/cream as shown in the pictures above). I considered returning it, but bearing in mind the shipping costs and time I decided against it. Other than this issue, the pot is great quality, and a joy to cook in.

It chipped instantly with barely a use
I LOVE this vessel but it is my second order. The first one chipped immediately with gentle use. I thought it was a fluke and returned it, ordered another one - thanks AMAZON - and it also chipped immediately. After one use. What would it look like after a year or 20 years use? For this price, I would like to have it remain in good condition for at least a while! I have le Creuset cast iron and yes, they get chipped but they are hand me downs, 50 years old probably and I expect that, not after 1 washing.

Great pot
Only used for 1 week.So far, it’s great.I have some Le Creuset pots and frankly these are the same quality for 1 tenth of the price. They totally compare in quality.I bought an other one as well from Lodge and very pleased.

Great pan - quickly becoming our go-to pan
We are big believers in cast iron pans and decided to try this Lodge pan (we have a Lodge Dutch Oven and love it). This pan is great in a few ways. My girlfriend loves it for the cooking properties and even heat distribution, easily goes from the stove top to the oven. I love it because it cleans up so easily. We have seared meat, fried, cooked fish, pork, chicken they all cleaned up in seconds. It is cast iron, so if you don't dry it properly the exposed area's will rust and fast - we dry it and throw it back on the burner, on high for a minute to get any water we missed. It is quite heavy, but that is what makes it good. 100% recommend
